Sharon Squire Obituary

SHARON DENISE SQUIRE, beloved daughter of the late Floyd L. Squire, Sr. and Shirley T. Squire, was born on Thursday, November 19th, 1963, in Northampton County, North Carolina. She peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, January 2nd, 2026.

Sharon received her education through the Halifax County Public Schools, where she developed a deep appreciation for art and music. She was known for her warm, gentle spirit and her genuine love for helping others. Sharon had a giving heart and found it difficult to turn away anyone in need. Family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. Family gatherings brought her great joy, and she took pride in making sure everyone was included in the fun, laughter, and shared memories she so dearly valued.

Sharon enjoyed listening to music, singing, line dancing, and simply having a good time surrounded by her family. Her joyful presence and love for life leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

On Monday, November 16th, 2019, Sharon dedicated her life to Jehovah and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was deeply committed to living a life pleasing to Him. Sharon found great joy in reading the Bible, participating in study groups, and sharing the message of Jehovah’s love and peace with others. Even as her health declined, her faith remained strong. She continually expressed gratitude and praise to Jehovah, trusting her life completely in His hands and resting in the assurance that He would determine her time of eternal rest.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd L. Squire, Sr. and Shirley T. Squire, and her siblings, Jeremiah High and Virginia Edwards. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her five children: Travis Squire, Dynesha Turner, Corey Turner, Cedric Turner, and Roy “Winkey” Turner (Tierra); ten grandchildren: Devon, Deshaun, Ashanti, Shekeria, Trenas, Adrian, Jamari, Jabari, Kyrie, and Caiden; four greatgrandchildren: Khole, Xoe, Klarity, and Shaheim; her siblings: Calvin Robinson-Bey, Herman Squire, Floyd Squire, Bernard Squire, Cathy James (Glenn), and Michael Muhammad (Melissa); three aunts: Daisy Squire, Odell Taylor (Philmore), and Dozine B. Robinson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Sharon Denise Squire will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to family and Jehovah. Her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
